Journal eamonman's Journal: maps 1

Online maps:

maps.yahoo.com
maps.google.com
www.map24.com
www.mapquest.com

Funny how just 2 years ago, it was just mapquest and yahoo was a crappy contender. Now Mapquest sucks (slow, no larger maps ability, no satellite overlay anymore), yahoo is fast and simple, map24 is a neat one to play with, and google's just plain rocks.

If you live in Canada you should try zip411.net [zip411.net]. The end user interface kinda sucks. But it is great for looking up vendors. You can tell it to show you all the hardware stores, or beauty salons, within a certain distance of a location. It will list them, with their phone numbers, addresses, web-pages, and a map showing you their locations.
