Journal EnronHaliburton2004's Journal: 3rd party cookies being set during Google Searches? 4
I noticed a change in when using Google to search. When I receive the Google search results page, one of the advertising sites tries to set a cookie on my machine. This has happened with eBay (since they advertise on just about every page), and a few other groups.
- Turn on cookie detection
- Click on the following link: http://www.google.com/search?q=dynamic+dns
- dyndns.org tries to set a cookie
I just throught it was wierd. Maybe this was happening before, and I didn't notice it, or I was blocking third party cookies.
I just thought it was interesting.

Problem solved. I just wish Mozilla.org would turn that on by default.

Being prefetched, the page fetched sets its cookies... I'm sure that you can fix this in your about:config (if you want to disable this). It's not a third party cookie; it's a second party cookie (ie. that for the site) for a page that you cannot see yet.
