Journal MysteriousPreacher's Journal: When zombies attack 10

This story is very, very strange. It's about some kind of virus that appears to kill people and then restart their hearts for up to two hours after death.

The re-animated victim then becomes incredibly violent. Sounds too scary to be true.

Zombie attack

I'm heading for the Winchester. You're welcome to join me, bring a cricket bat though.

  • FUCK ME thats scary... i was thinking if it was some kind of joke but no ..
That is seriously odd and gives me cause to think this is perhaps where zombie lore comes from , well virii like this .I imagine this is just rare(as opposed to unique) and not the only time it has ever hapend
    • This is a pretty decent write-up of zombies.

In the voodoo sense anyway, this describes a zombie not as someone who was raised from the dead, more someone who is brain damaged. In the original article, this is what they speculated was happening. You could be on to something with the zombie-lore thing.

I read an interesting theory on vampires some time back. It's said that people thought that they had buried a vampire because, they would open the coffin of someone they thought
      • yeah sounds about right actualy , although rational is to me always the cold hard truth and if that means the living dead and pixies then so be it ;)
ok.. i just want an excuse to run around with a shotgun shooting people(dead people)
        • You need to pick-up a copy of resident evil 2 on the Play Station. That's an amazing zombie blaster. It's one of those games that's unnerving to play. Very atmospheric.

I take it you've seen Shaun of the Dead? Now that's a good zombie film. It's the first zombie film I've found that I can watch with my girlfriend.
          • hehe i have it (somewhere) hehe and allt he other RE games.
Shaun of dead had the best ending ever (for a ZOMBIE MOVIE), i loved it ,it was a complete shock
I dont want to spoil it for anyone who hasnt , but that is not what i expected at the end of a zombie movie.
            • Without spoiling it too much... (STOP READING NOW IF YOU'VE NOT SEEN SHAUN OF THE DEAD) /* spoiler */
yeah, it reminded me of Day of the Dead. You remember the scientist who was try to domesticate that zombie? As Bill Gates predicted, by the year 2008, a zombie in every home!

I think the zombie lore references in Shaun of the Dead were excellent but not over-done. Everyone can enjoy it but zombie fans will be battling to see who can point out the most references.

    • I think it's a pretty good hoax. I noticed that it's an IP address, not a URL. Also, the article is filed under South Asia. All the other articles about Cambodia are filled under Asia-Pacific. This and the fact that it doesn't show up in a BBC news search makes it look like it's a hoax.

Well, that and silliness of people coming back from the grave. Damn i watched too many zombie films. If I saw a vacant eyed zombie walking down the road, it just wouldn't be that shocking. After all, I've visited Lakeside sh
      • Yeah it is a good hoax indeed . specificaly as it does work
        hehe
I read the artical and was thinking WHAT , then noticed the url .
I have to say though i think the science behind it is perfectly plausable .

the virus could release some biotoxin that could triger the production of an enzyme etc basicaly resusitate the heart (just enough so it only works eventualy) and if the viris also made the cells prduce some form of embalmer that could preserve the brain (well 2 hours preservation) then chances are when t
