What to do when a Google search for your name when you're the target of a blogger's campaign to tear you down?

So my friend's wife Lisa is a reporter who recently took a job with the Press Enterprise of Southern California.

So there's a blogger who aims to topple the government leadership of San Bernardino county. And apparently, any journalists who don't share her zeal for trashing said leadership.

What to do when a Google search for your name when you're the target of a blogger's campaign to tear you down?

Nobody wants the first result for a search for your name to be a page where someone's calling you a liar. I know I don't.
