denshi's Journal: wow

Wow. I just noticed that my journal is so out of date it is of interest only to historians. What's changed since last September?

• I moved from San Fran to Austin
• I learned to edit on Avids
• I've gotten all up in the Apache2 mess and have written a couple modules, which is funny b/c it's AOLserver that my contract money still comes in for. Web servers are kind of stupid anyway, if you learn to write an async server in your fave programming language.
• I'm doing a bunch of Scheme work for sysadmin/web dev stuff. On the side I'm increasing my Common LISP skills, along with some brush-up on C, Perl, & the kids.
• I discovered Vietnamese poetry. Maybe I'll post some.
• I'm returning to school in the fall after a long absence. Go me!...or something.
• After the dot.coms broke me, now I can sensibly date again. I don't know why; one of my friends is working with a theory that women dig unemployed guys. The funny part here is that said friend wasn't stoned when he came up with this theory; in fact I don't think he ever *has* been stoned. I should fix that.

Yeah, that's my life. Blah.
