Woot 2.0

So Woot! has released Woot 2.0. Although it has a number of additions, it has changed. The clean page is gone, and has been replaced by a sickly green. It actually looks like a real site and not a fresh young upstart that drove me there in the first place. Although a couple changes are very nice (like showing refurb right away) overall it is not good. I simply don't get the pleasure while checking it.

Too bad for New Woot. Someone tell me if they bring back Woot Classic.

so i don't understand all this woot and whatnot--- but you gotta give 'em props for the 3,2,1 Compaq bit. That is pure marketing genius.

Neat site, thanks for the lead (1)

From the FAQ

But new things terrify me. Can't I have the old site back?
No. It's gone. Stop living in the past, gramps. We've preserved some of it here, including our old FAQ. Have fun reminiscing, but Woot 2.0 is where the real action is.

I couldn't resist...

I think 2.0 is doomed to failure. At least in my books, i just don't care anymore.

If the shoe fits, wear it. Changing it is only asking for trouble.
