Slashdot is... well, it's a bit uncomfortable being vulnerable in front of a lot of people, most of whom are strangers, some of whom are hostile. :)

I'm sorry for the late response. :)
He seems to be doing much better, but we still have to see what the surgeon says, when he finally gets in to see him.

Right now he's looking and feeling better. We'll know more when he finally makes it in for surgery.

Of course I'll add remembrances of your strengths - sometimes all we need is an awareness shift to a different perspective. This does not deny that occasionally things happen we might not wish for, or that we might feel under-prepared to cope with, it simply reminds us that no matter how big or frightening the circumstance, we're in touch with something even bigger.
