Journal heliocentric's Journal: Picture Updates 14

First, we solved the booze problem with a very nice wood liquior cabinet. All I need is to get some glass cut for the top to keep the bar-tending nice and tidy and we're all set. Photos.

I just got back from the mysterious land that is Canada. I was up there teaching a course about Sun's hardware to a bunch of former MS-centric support people. Well, I hope former, several seem to be easily convertable when topics like OBP, ALOM, RSC, and RISC showed them the power that is Sun. Photos of the trip.

There's also been some new, funny kitty kitty photos added. Link - text, punctuation.

Also, while in Canada, and drunk off of Alexander Keith's beer, I got this Sun-centric (aka heliocentric) tattoo. Photos of tat.

And, last but certainly least, I have a section of the gallery for "hot chicks" where you are free to vote. Some are there as more of "base line" to ensure you're not seeing all 100% hot meat all the time. Photos of hotties.

Heh. Did a gig a while back for Armani Exchange and the PM gave me a A|X logo t-shirt as kudos for standing up the app. Brought it home for my Bride, and she took a look at it and said "A Unix shirt!"

      Yah, I'm keeping her...

Oh, so that's what they are. I'd guessed that IBM's Unix hadn't suddenly acquired mass appeal, but I didn't know why everyone suddenly appeared to be wearing T-shirts promoting it...

Must get an OpenBSD one, that'll show your Slow-lart-us one up!
  • My employer's nifty websense URL blocker blocks all of your galleries for being in the category 'sex'.

What exactly are your kittens doing in those photos? :)

  • Cute cat, what's it's name? I'm guessing Puffin?
  • First of all, get that vodka in the freezer before your next party.

Secondly I forget that I have some photos of the trains in the train musuem here in sacramento. I'm going to dig those up, and see what I can see. You might like a couple of them.
  • We've got a pair here.

Is your Ossicat high strung? Both of ours are and we're assuming that it's a 'breed' thing.

Ours aren't as well adjusted as the previous cats which we've owned, we think they were cage raised animals and hence have suffered the ill-effects of a second rate childhood, though we got them from supposedly respectable breeders. But they're great animals all the same and follow you around the house or sit in the centre of any crowd.

    • Our kitty kitty (Ocicat I suppose is his major contributing breed, but I'm sure he's not pure bred) is very mild and sedentary. He's a lap lounger who can speak when you mouth words to him (but you don't speak) or if he's demanding you stop what you're doing to feed him at his feeding time.

He follows me wherever I go, and isn't shy of company - unless there's a kid that pokes him half a dozen times.

He enjoys being held like a baby, playing fetch, peek-a-boo, and a game we call "wap wap" that usually leads
  • I'm glad you guys got US IV+ out. Solaris 10 rocks. It should be a good combination.
