Journal KoriaDesevis's Journal: Everyone sing with me... 5

Load up on guns
Bring your friends
It's fun to lose
And to pretend
She's over bored
And self assured
I know, I know
A dirty word

Hello hello hello hel-lo
Hello hello hello hel-lo
Hello hello hello hel-lo
Hello hello hello

With the lights out
It's less dangerous
Here we are now
Entertain us
I feel stupid
And contagious
Here we are now
Entertain us
A mulatto
An albino
A mosquito
My libido
Yeah

(hey)

(hey)

I'm worse at what I do best
And for this gift I feel blessed
Our little group has always been
And always will until the end

hello hello hello hel-lo
hello hello hello hel-lo
hello hello hello hel-lo
hello hello hello

With the lights out
It's less dangerous
Here we are now
Entertain us
I feel stupid
And contagious
Here we are now
Entertain us
A mulatto
An albino
A mosquito
My libido
Yeah

(hey)

(hey)

And I forget just why I taste
Oh yeah, I guess it makes me smile
I found it hard
It's hard to find
Oh well, whatever, nevermind

hello hello hello hel-lo
hello hello hello hel-lo
hello hello hello hel-lo
hello hello hello

With the lights out
It's less dangerous
Here we are now
Entertain us
I feel stupid
And contagious
Here we are now
Entertain us
A mulatto
An albino
A mosquito
My libido

A denial, a denial, a denial, a denial,
A denial, a denial, a denial, a denial,
A denial.

Everyone sing with me...

  • The anthem of 90's angst. If you haven't related to this stuff at one point or another in your life, you've definately never felt things like inadequacy, rebellion, remorse, and especially the pain that comes from unreturned love.
  • NOT. I'm here for you, for whatever you need.
  • as actually listening to the song. hrm...
    • That's because most of Nirvana's lyrics were terrible. People didn't relate to the lyrics, they related to the pain they heard in Cobain's voice. Blues Traveller pointed this out in Hook [seeklyrics.com] off their album four. The song starts, "It doesn't matter what I say, as long as I sing with inflection that makes you feel that I'll convey some inner truth of vast reflection." Pretty accurate actually. You don't have to be the most talented person in the world, as long as you make people feel something.

      And Koria, c

      • WHEN THE LIGHT'S OUT, IT'S LESS DANGEROUS!!!
        HERE WE ARE NOW,
        ENTERTAIN US.
        LIKE WE'RE STUPID,
        AND CONTAGEOUS...
        HERE WE ARE NOW,
        ENTERTAIN US.

Dammit, I LOVED their lyrics! So full of imagery and metaphorical goodiness. :D

So, in that vein, I sing along with Koria with broken vocal chords and 6 Guinnesses in ma bellay!
