Journal JabberWokky's Journal: Scudder 6
Here we go, sorry about the lack of posts of late - I have two major projects I'm working on, and one is about to go Beta, meaning I've been working nearly 24 hours a day on it. Blearg.

Heinlein is one of my favorite authors - he's written stinkers, but the fact that people disagree as to *which* the stinkers are is very interesting; I have a feeling he just wrote a variety of works that appeal to different people. I don't like Stranger in a Strange Land all that much, and quite like Number of the Beast, putting me at odds with quite a few fans out there. (NotB, to me, is two Doc Savages romping through the universe with sex stirred in, as opposed to Doc's 1930's puritanism. Zeb's lasing the fuel dumps, Doc's mercy bullets - same style of nonlethal solutions. And both got goofy with science for the advancing of the story. It's pulp, but good juicy, fanservice pulp.).

Sad, but off the top of my head, I think it was "Briiit". It's been years since I read the book, but phrases other than "Meow", "Woof" or "Moo" amuse me. I like the "aeiou" for a cat sound used by one author ("The Cat who came for Christmas", maybe?).

Sorry chums, my knowledge of old heavy metal/punk is vast.
Hmmm, maybe I should have a "spot the music ref" game in my own journal...
but then jabber might sue for copyright infringement... damn!
