Journal Fastball's Journal: Inmates running the asylum, time for a break from /.

Abusive mods.

They've taken over. In meta moderation, it appears to me that no matter how much thought someone puts into a post, there's always someone there to stand opposed. Do they respond with their thoughts? No, they mod others down. How do these people get mod points? I dunno, but it is evident to me that they do. Repeatedly.

Slashdot and other web forums are suffering for me, because of people like this. They share the same affliction: they cannot add to a debate or discussion without subtracting from someone else.

I say, "No thanks." Time for me to take a break from /. I just don't understand why people see fit to mod down at all unless the post is highly offensive or completely offtopic.

Cheers.
