First Scooter and Turd blossom, maybe Dick, now Harriet Miers' $26.000 problem. Such arrogance....
The land in question is near my mother's home, I know it well. "Vacant lot of weeds" would be a overly flowerly way to describe it. There's no argument to be made for it being valuable. I can't imagine it even being worth the $2/sqft they reached in mediation. It's a windfall at that price!
Now I understand why she's so fond of GWBush. They're cut from the same crooked, lying, entitled-class, cloth. I'm sure they see the world the same way. He's appointed her to the court because he thinks he's going to need friends as high as possible in the judicial system in the near future.
He's probably right about that. This is what he does best, he calls it "political cover."

He won't need them. He's already placed people high up enought so that if he and Cheney went down in flames they'd both get pardons.

I know the pardons are coming, it's not really the individuals I want stomped out of existence, it's the mindset. I'm hopeful.

My 2 thoughts on this:
1. Bush isn't one inclined to issue pardons, particularly for the 'help'.
2. The nature of the incitments will be such that issuing pardons will be politically difficult.
