Journal Cliff's Journal: Washington 52 - San Francisco 17 5

Read it and weep.

Yes. I am a shameless Redskins fan. And I know the warm fuzzies may vaporize over the next two weeks. But dammit, I'm getting my gloat awn while I still can.

And my, oh my. It's been over a year since I've written in these pages.... Shame on me.

  • I did not get to watch the game but it looked like the 'Skins really did a job on the 49ers. As I have written elsewhere, the 'Skins have been having a goofy season-- before this week their two best efforts were losts and they were arguably out-played in their wins.

Good to see Joe Gibbs working it and winning again.
    • Ya. On the other hand, the Niners are so pathetic this year that anything much less would have been inexcusable.

Though it's nice to see the 'Skins slowly getting back into form. Two rushers with 100 yards or thereabouts in a game -- not bad at all. :-)

Now if only we could clone Art Monk, Darrell Green, John Riggins and Joe Theismann. ;-)

      Cheers,

      Ethelred

        A-freakin'-men!

Although, Theismann you can keep. ;-)

No kidding. Saw him in the booth during a 'Skins game a year or two ago, and the guy certainly has no love for his old team.

Hey Cliff, any info on the chef?

Too true. Of course, he was a decent quarterback before his leg was snapped like a twig. Then he turned into a sports broadcaster and went poser

Will be seeing him this weekend. I'll talk to him about it, then.

Suggest you just sit there and wait till life gets easier.

Working...
