repruhsent's Journal: Holy Fucking Lame, Batman!

Last weekend I was browsing digg and found this story. I was intrigued; was someone going to announce a project that would revolutionize the software available on the Linux desktop (not that I care since I don't run it)? I forget about this little snippet a few minutes later (it was really impressive).

Anyway, I just found the hyped project. You can view it here. I've seen lots of hype before, but this was totally blown out of proportion. A 30 second radio spot? Who gives a shit! In Austin, Texas? Again, who gives a shit? I doubt people in Texas are smart enough to even know what a computer is, let alone what an obscure operating system like Linux is all about.

Newsflash: Nobody gives a shit about Linux on the desktop. Until I can watch all of my porn, play all of my games and run all of my nice, shiny new hardware under Linux, I don't give a shit and neither does anyone else.
