Living in New York City allows me and I think others as well to appreciate and embrace social diversity. However, I don't think that other parts of the country are as fortunate in this regard.

I bet... I didn't know there were black people in Finland. What I mean is I never thought about it... which is exactly to point of this quote... I never even considered a black Finnish guy or his plight, may GOD bless that guy!

I actually don't find it that hard to think of people in different countries/cultures/etc behaving differently than I would. They're raised in different circumstances than I was, and would thus have different ways of doing things.

What I have more trouble with is the people I consider to have been in nearly equal circumstances as myself, and yet behave radically different.
