I'm working on design plans for a 1:100 scale Zaku Kai based on Izubuchi's lineart from Gundam 0080. It's a fun project but coming up with good plans is tough! Never take anything for granted. I designed a leg that looked good from the front and both sides but now I don't know if I like how it looks from behind. This is a little troubling since most of the thing has so far been designed from front-view only. But I'm confident that my designs will work out very nicely in the end.

I'm also working on a model of the Starship Enterprise for my dad. Shh, don't tell him. It's gonna be a surprise. He introduced me to Star Trek when I was a kid, as well as computers and electronics and he's getting older now and can't do that stuff so much. It's kind of sad. My Enterprise is going to integrate all those things - lighting, animation (through microcontrollers and surface-mount LEDs in the nacelles) as well as my own hobby, model-making.
I got to help out a bit with development of the WiFi host code that lets you send code to a Nintendo DS from a Linux system. No major contributions in the end but a bit of troubleshooting. If you have an NDS I suggest you look up the "WMB for Linux" thread on gbadev.org and check it out. All you need is a wireless card with a Ralink RT2500 chipset and you can boot official demos or (if you've got an older DS) boot homebrew DS code off of the GBA slot.
