Journal FidelCatsro's Journal: Elvis sightings solved(Some of them) 13

A man called Barry William MacGuffin was recently arrested for prowling around downtown Graceland , decked in full Elvis gear .
After further investigation it was discovered that he had a history mental problems and was wanted for questioning in at least 5 states for similar offences and public indecency
In his current 2 room apartment which was searched by the police he was found to have records dating back to the early 1980's (Including photographs) of himself dressed as Elvis in numerous locations where he had been sneaking around and in his words 'Tryin' ta mess wid some trailer trash "\
Whilst not illegal in and of itself(although we all would like to see some limits on Elvis impersonators ).
The string of minor offences would be enough to get him a life sentence , however Judge Ernhardt was quoted as saying that he is of no real threat and if he agrees to treatment and to stop the hoaxes he will not be charged

  • His name is really Macguffin [wikipedia.org], eh? Methinks you are using you dictatorial powers for nefarious reasons. But as long as it keeps the plot moving I guess its OK ;-)
  • ...it's illegal to wander around dressed like Elvis? That's AWESOME!!!!
    • In Memphis is minor civil thing unless you clearly advertise that you are an impersonator , it was a case brought by Pricilla in 93 . So i is more of a social thing , but you can be charged with some form of intellectual property theft ,the look is trademark
  • After further investigation it was discovered that he had a history mental problems...

He's an Elvis impersonator. Of course he has mental problems.

IMO Elvis impersonators are the saddest of sad gits. Lower than mime artists and drag queens combined*. The sooner laws are passed making the wearing of sequinned white jumpsuits and garish oversized sunglasses a capital offence the better.

That's not to say I have anything against the actual Elvis; he was undoubtedly a great entertainer**. The problem is his impe
