Journal FortKnox's Journal: Slashdot CSS Redesign Contest 8
(When I post this, it was still in the Mysterious Future, so give it time and it'll pop up eventually).
So, Taco has made the site redesign a contest. Winner takes a top of the line iBook or Alienware laptop? Sheeee-it! I think I may even jump in (even though I'm not a designer by any means).

Hopefully people will come up with better css and make it available so slashdot can look really pretty
Trust me, I know its just polishing a turd, but I make my living polishing turds, and if I can get a free $4.5k laptop outta it, I'll throw a few hours into it.

Oh, I don't argue that point at all. But I have to take my opportunities to harass when they come up. I know just enough about CSS that I'd be silly not to donate some time as well.

Ironic isn't it that the move to CSS wasn't in any way shape or form meant to reduce the overhead of loading slashdot in terms of bandwidth, but rather to give away a laptop for a site redesign. crazy.
