The story, the comment appropriately modded "interesting",the silly (and almost sarcastic) being modded as funny, The backup funny being modded as funny, and the really stupid being mismodded as funny. Do you have what it takes to make an actually funny comment?

Yeah, I found Smack's comment to be ironically funny in the same vein as Chacham's.

What's with the seeming awe or perceived valuableness of a low Slashdot user ID? I've seen insightful and asshat within both 3-4 digiters and 900,000'ers. Slashdot is a fantasyland where people like to come and pretend that things like lower user ID's and which operating system your computer runs are what's really important in life.
