Journal SEWilco's Journal: SMART-1 Lunar impact September 3

The European Space Agency's SMART-1 will impact on the Moon on 3 September 2006, at 05:41 UT or at 00:37 UT. SMART-1's impact will be at mid-southern latitudes in the 'Lake of Excellence' area, which will be just inside the darkened area of the Moon. Its orbital speed will be a relatively slow 2 km/sec and dropping vertically at about 70 km/hr.
