This slipped under the radar of the media that at least I follow, tho aparently at least one diarist at DailyKos picked up on it. Gee, I don't know why it's not getting more coverage in the MSM.

I wish I could remember where I saw it.
I read an article by someone who claimed to have detailed knowledge of the report's findings. According to the report, local ownership did tend to spend more time reporting on local issues. Roughly three minutes per day of additonal on-location reporting and another 2 minutes per day of reporting from studio. However, the report also noted that the additional 5 minutes of reporting tended to be more biased toward the direct interests of station ownership.

In this day and age, somebody actually bothers to respect community boundaries with their business interests? I'm kind of surprised....everything around me seems to be owned by out-of-town or out-of-state investment groups.
