Journal APLowman's Journal: Gamestop Wii Preorders Begin Oct 13th

GameStop/EB Games has announced that on Friday October 13th they will begin accepting preorders for the Nintendo Wii in the USA and Canada. The preorder process will require a $50 deposit and will 1 per household. According to GameStop's announcement e-mail supplies are very limited, and they expect preorders to end within minutes of a store's opening (much like the PS3 earlier this week). The announcement e-mail also advises customers to call their local GameStop/EB Games in advance to find out how many preorders they will be issuing at that location. Currently every GameStop I have tried to contact has stated that they will not confirm the announcement or state how many preorders they will have because they have not yet received an official company e-mail with this information. On an unoffical sidenote, I have been told by GameStop employees that Wii demos will be up and playable before the end of the month.
