Journal shotgunefx's Journal: AOL must have listened to everyone complain about canceling

I've had an AOL account for about 7 years now (I had one in the mid 90s too, until you could never get through), I got it again to test sites back when AOL was substantially different.

I probably haven't logged in, in about 4 years now. Though I never cancelled it as I'd let me sister use it. Well they finally got real internet, so I decided to cancel it today.

I made the call at 10:11am. At 10:17am, I was off the phone and done. And that's including 2 minutes in the phone tree. I was expecting a protracted exchange.

Pleasantly suprised after hearing so many horror stories.
