same old. Other than working as an architect lately (I took a job with my last client), its been the same old. Wife is trying to talk me into trying for #3, but I'm pretty stern on waiting a year or two...

How's Toledo?

Toledo's pretty much the same old.. I'm the director of software development at my company so I am keeping really busy and doing a lot of travel (mostly NYC and Philadelpha). The company is going through some challenging times.. We have another one on the way, due end of March (found out it is a girl). So we are pretty excited!!

Hey, have you heard of Codemash? It's going to be in Sandusky, and covering a lot of technologies.. including Java. http://www.codemash.org/ [codemash.org]

I'll talk to my boss about attending, since its incredibly inexpensive, and I can drive to it. I just noticed that you're a key speaker, too. Very nice!

You didn't cry... (1)

Spring v. Fall: Sports Edition (1)

sielwolf (246764) | more than 7 years ago | (#17100960)

A corollary to the Spring versus Fall question is which season of sports is better? Now the obvious choice would be Fall: NFL football, college Football, start of college basketball, the start of NBA basketball, the Fall Classic, and the NASCAR championship.

But then Spring has a lot going for it if you really extend what sports are outside of the actual games: the NCAAs (the wittling from 65 to 16 may be the greatest week in sports), Spring Training (the most hopeful time of the year), the NBA playoffs (though they end in Summer now), the Masters, and the NFL draft (the second most hopeful time of year).

In school? I loved Saturdays and Sundays for the sports. But the NCAAs was just an insane time. Even now... mekkaboror and I go out to do the post-work imbibe and last spring I was sitting around and just began chatting dudes on the first day. It's the best. A month of greatness. Locally kids where going bananas over George Mason.
