Journal blinder's Journal: Neat-o 7

well, the site i worked on made cnn. cool. its been popping up in the media all over the place, and the general consensus is that its highly sophisticated and better than the competition. cool. i guess i'll take that as a job well done :)

now, if i could get the random null pointer exceptions to stop in one part of the system, that seem to be completely transient and only show up in the logs (thus my email) i'll be a happy camper.

  • When you're building a website for a politician, I think null pointers are inevitable. It has nothing to do with your code; it's just the nature of politicians to throw out null pointers.

    Congratulations on your site, blinder!

  • Interesting..... It is a lovely, clean site design. It is also interesting that Romney gets quite a bit of coverage here in the state of Utah because of his religion. It is an issue that will likely crop up nationally because of its controversy, which I could really care less about. What does bother me however is his complete reversal on some of his fundamental positions he staked out in his debate with T. Kennedy a few years ago. nope, there is flash however (the media player, developed by a company we partnered with called permissionTV). its kind of a cool little app they have. they handle web video for a lot of large online companies, barnes and noble is another of their clients, along with bob vila of all folks.
      • Dumb name*, cool service.

Love their website; I'm not left guessing "WTF do they actually do? And WITHOUT using the word synergy, please!"

What is your test enviornment showing? Same results? Now I am NOT AT ALL a programmer, but if you take down all of the services but one (if possible) and add them back one at a time to see when the code throws an exception you might be able to zero in on it. Could it be the code from permissionTV messing with you
