What you're getting mixed up is the difference between weather and climate. I did too to a certain extent.

But that storm (which hit us in Oregon too) is actually a SYMPTOM of global warming. More chaotic winters is part and parcel of the price of hotter summers on the west coast of the US.
So, let me get this straight. Warmer winters are evidence of global warming. Colder winters also are evidence of global warming. Is there any mercury level that isn't evidence of global warming?

A winter can be statistically warmer (climate) with individual colder events (weather). Chaos theory in action. Individual mercury levels mean nothing- statistical averages are what global warming is about. Due to the mess caused by global warming, you can have *some* statistical points that are much, much lower

The reason they are so small is that they decided to go and buy them at the Gucci store. They are also about $10,000 each, handmade, individualy numbered and guaranteed to have a limited lifespan. Nobody but you will ever own one the same.
