Now we know why they call it "Multiply"

  • If you just go to Multiply.com while logged in (or click on "My Multiply"), that's pretty much what you mean, isn't it?

    Cheers,

  • I have an account there, but I can't join the circle refuge group (it doesn't show up in group lists) nor have I figured out how to add people to my friends list there, as searching by name does no good!

I need to spend some more time on it.
    • You've been invited to the circle refuge group. Go accept the invitation, then click the member's pages and click Add As Contact to "friend" us.

Things are working better now, yahs.

Oh, I can add everyone at once? Cool, when I have a second free second (this is my first!) I'll do that. :)

my nick is already taken... I'm out.
  • I'll be right here whenever you guys get over your latest I'M LEAVING snit. ;^)
  • I wish they have a messages page like tha dot. But without the slowness and deleting them after 30 messages or 14 days.

Why on earth would you want to keep messages more than 14 days? Having a 30 message limit? Perhaps raising that limit might be an option, but I don't have a problem with there being a limit. Indeed, I've never hit it, so I didn't even realize it was there.

if i don't delete my messages, i hit that limit at least once a day, usually more, and exponentially more if certain slashdotters go on JE writing binges of 40 or 50 over a weekend.
    • Yeah, the descriptive text lies. If you get a bunch of messages, older stuff will get pushed out really quickly. But multiply.com takes the opposite approach, generating 2.7 emails for every character someone thinks about typing in response to anything you haven’t gotten around to posting yet.

  • I got your invite but haven't done anything at multiply yet (been outta town). Maybe next week...
