The multimedia options are one of the big things that I dislike about Multiply. An ongoing example of Sturgeon's Law: 95% of everything is crap.
About your list of guitarists (since I can't reply there just now). Hopelessly parochial. Where's Segovia? Parkening? It's like a list of great whiskeys that only has bourbon in it.

Actually, I'm hooked on Cathie Ryan these days. Great voice, wonderful stage presence, and she plays a wicked bodhran. Sings in both English and Gaeilge, which is a plus as I'm trying to re-learn some of that language (I took a year in college).
One of the good things about seeing someone live, particularly in a venue where one can get very close, is that I can listen to the same song on CD and map some of the live performance onto that.

Once you broaden the list to all of Rock or all Genres you have people like Jeff Beck, Eddie Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Chuck Berry, etc. Not to mention huge legends like Andres Segovia, Django Reinhardt, Chet Atkins, T-Bone Walker, or B.B. King.

Ever hear of Gary Hoey? He's pretty incredible, too.
As amazing as Friedman is, I went with Mustaine - not so much for talent, but his ability to write a killer riff. I think the guy's better than even Iommi in that category.

I'm still around, just mostly reading these days. I find myself rarely loading Slashdot articles, much less commenting on them thanks to Google Reader. Everything worthwhile (save Journals) gets posted to Digg anyway..

I have also no intention on moving... I am on multiply, had fun setting up the layout of my page.... and then it was "ehm, what now?" What essentially happens is that I crosspost my journals to multiply.
The only thing is do "extra" these days is post a funny movie or so, but that doesn't happen all that much.
