Nobody on the left seems to be screaming bloody murder over this Barack as Jesus thing. In fact, they seem to kind of like it. As with all things, as long as it's one of their own, it's not a problem. It's only when it relates favorably to the OTHER SIDE that they have a problem with it

The Constitution provides for the establishment of a military force. It does not, as much as you wish it to be so, provide for your favorite welfare-state programs.

Comparisons to others' budget priorities are irrelevant. If I were you, I'd be more concerned about the 57% wasted on welfare [irs.gov] (go to page 83) than on the 24% that enables you to speak whatever ill-formed thoughts your mind conjures up.

What is there to scream about? The artist meant it as a not-so-subtle critique of Obama, in particular how people are salivating over him as if he's some kind of savior. Obama's campaign is trying to distance themselves from it. So I don't see what the problem is, even as a Christian.
