caitriona81's Journal: Better moderation for AC posts?

I've been looking at various ways of improving /. moderation, given that the success of the moderation system now means that most disruptive users post anonymously, I think it would be a good idea to address moderation of such comments so that they don't drain mod points out of the system.

I suggest that when mod points are handed out, 10 points be given, but of those, 5 points can only be used for logged in users, and 5 points can only be used for ACs. This puts far more points into the system, and the balance would probably have to be adjusted, but it would mean that the floods of AC troll posts could be moderated from a pool dedicated to that purpose.
