Journal ghostbar38's Journal: Why there's so much FTBFS!?
I cannot believe the amount of FTBFS-bugs that are in the Debian BTS. I was checking the RC-bugs page and almost 35% of the bugs are FTBFS.
The worst part is that are so easy to avoid! Just using pbuilder and debuild so you can build them directly in a clean chroot.
BTW, that helps you a lot when you need to know wich Build-Depends you need exactly. Is as easy to use as write pdebuild in your package working-tree.
But being so easy I cannot believe that people don't answer to patchs that you send for fixing this FTBFS-bugs, sometimes are so trivial that you think twices to make a NMU. I will start doing NMU more often if I want to see RC-bugs number seriously get down. I will need a lot more of sponsors then, hehe. They will probably start to charge me for each upload, hehe.
