Journal tuxette's Journal: the harbinger of things to come... 2

Way back when I got my first passport ever, a friend of mine looked at the empty pages and said "this is going to get full of stamps..."

Well, I'm on my second passport now. I just got back from the US Embassy because I had to get new pages put into this passport, as I'm running out of un-stamped pages. Just like I had to do with my first passport...

  • the border people just wave, smile and tell us to move along.
  • the wall was up, I crossed a few borders no problem, I am now at home in the USA and seldom travel more than a few miles on any day. Last decade, I would even smile and chuckle about it now and then with some old friends, but this past decade has been very depressing in the USA. Maybe I will start traveling again as a xpat-tourist ... I feel less like being home (in the USA) as I get older, and I can probably afford a few countries a year depending on exchange. Taxes are always optional, things to come soon

The hardest part of climbing the ladder of success is getting through the crowd at the bottom.
