Journal Chacham's Journal: Slashdot ads 6

Well, slashdot started with ads, they weren't annoying. When they got annoying, they started subscriptions. Also, Mozilla could be used to block the annoying ones. I found that all the annoying ads were the ones not hosted by slashdot. Now, however, it looks like most ads are theirs. And blocking images from slashdot in genereal makes a lot of things go away.

What just got me lately, was that they broke a rule. That is, the no human rule. Yeah, there is no such rule, but leaving out humans gets people out of all sorts of complaints. Slashdot, however, hasn't just started with humans, they now have two ads with mostly unclad women in them. In the first one there's very little to see, as you only see her head. This second one shows a lot more.

And here I though slashdot was safe. Oh well. Looks like I'll be blocking all images from slashdot next time I see something like that. It's only a matter of time before they advertise straight out pornography.
