phantomlord's Journal: Dell 2650C and linux

I just purchased a Dell Inspiron 2650C laptop. I specifically chose this model knowing that the majority of hardware would work in Linux. After a little work, I managed to get Redhat installed and I've verified that everything works except for the PCMCIA slot and winmodem. The PCMCIA slot shouldn't be a problem, I just lack a card to test it... and the modem is supposed to work with the conexant drivers. I'm getting ready to install a custom version of linux now.
