Journal queenofthe1ring's Journal: and 2 months later 7

So... it's been a while. I guess now that my computer is once again operational (vid card died in the move) I should make some sort of an update, particularly since my last notice was not so good.

Moved into the house. That went ok. Adopted a baby of the furry four-legged kind. She makes my life interesting.

Today is the first day it has felt like fall (well, second I guess since it was cold and rainy yesterday) which has sparked my soul searching once again. I have that feeling that I need to start figuring stuff out again.

Health has been so-so. Seeing a specialist who is sending me to another specialist, who will hopefully be able to solve the problem. Hopefully it will all be worth it.

Going to try to restart working on my hobbies, since it's been months to a year since I have done anything with them.

I guess that's good for now.

  • Sometimes I think it's the only thing that staves off the madness. Got to have something that's yours.
    • Wearing helmets, made of meat...

    • Especially when you're home all day long. On the one hand, I can't wait until puppy gets bigger so I can do more things, but on the other hand ... she'll be bigger. She's only 4 months old and looks nothing like a puppy anymore. Already she's past her halfway mark for weight. Or what we're hoping the halfway mark is. :-/

  • I'm glad that the move went well. I hope that the medical issues reach a satisfactory conclusion.

Reflection is often spurred by changes in the seasons. Perhaps it's the reminder that time is passing, that the things we have been busily ignoring (in the hope that they will solve themselves) are still around. Tends to send me back to reading Rilke, though I have enjoyed David Whyte quite a bit lately.

Yes, exactly. It was this time last year that I was making plans. And I completed exactly zero of the things I wanted to do. It's a bit disheartening, but I guess I can try to get them done for real this time.

Sadly, since the move I haven't had much time for reading. Well, I should say since getting puppy, though it was quite near after we moved

  • What kind? Do you have photos? Same old crap here, but I'm off to Africa (vacation) soon...
    • We have a rambunctious little puppy. Well, she's not so little anymore. She was listed as a german shepard mix (I guess that's what her mom was). She has the physique of a germ.shep. she even perks her ears up sometimes the way they do. The other half is pretty obviously black lab, as she is solid black with shorter fur and has webbed feet. :-)

I do have some photos, but I haven't put them up anywhere yet. I'll link as soon as I do though. I'm trying to train her to hold still for photos, but after
