I just finished reading the Humanist Manifesto II. That's something I can support all around. I wish humanist values were more prevalent in my extended family and social circle, so that I could express more of these ideals without stepping on toes...

Actually, I subscribe to a societal minimalist philosophy. I want to treat the world like I do the great out doors when i go hiking: leave no trace. When I leave this world, it should be the exact same as it was when I came in. If I can, I'll clean up others' messes when I find them, but do so without fanfare and laud.

Hmmm. There's a bit of a sketch at Wikipedia [wikipedia.org], but it's not that comprehensive. I guess I'll give it a shot - paraphrasology for the win! I'll include some quotes from it as well.
