Thanks twitter. That's what this journal entry was for.

Epic Shill Thread (1)

Macthorpe (960048) | more than 5 years ago | (#25256701)

This one [] has to go on the epic shill thread list. He's effectively managed to suppress all serious debate about the article in a flood of anti-Microsoft drivel. Someone counted it at 19 posts, though I'm going to assume at least two of those AC comments are his too.

willyhill (965620) | more than 5 years ago | (#25259211)

That's a different thread... no? The one you linked to is his friend symbolset mostly. Or are you saying that's also twitter?

Re:Epic Shill Thread (1)

Macthorpe (960048) | more than 5 years ago | (#25259243)

When I click that one, it takes me to the top Twitter post on "Norwegian Standards Body Members Resign Over OOXML"... is it not doing the same for you?

Re:Epic Shill Thread (1)

willyhill (965620) | more than 5 years ago | (#25259419)

No, seriously. This [] takes me to the comment (I assume) you're referring to, your link takes me to the top of the comment list (at the article level).

I'll add the whole thing to the journal in any case.

That was a WTF thread for sure.

It's probably me being cack-handed! I agree, very WTF. He got into two seperate shillversations (will it catch on?) in one article.

Twitter's Reading Comprehension and paranoia? (1)

jwilcox154 (469038) | more than 5 years ago | (#25260143)

Twitter's reading comprehension appears to be low as he obviously doesn't bother to read the entire article or any source for that matter. His non-stop paranoia is laughable as he calls everyone who disagrees with him a "troll" or states they are out to kill him and his family. No where have I seen where anyone has threatened him. I wouldn't doubt it if he thinks Microsoft is somehow hiring "hitmen" to find him and his family. What is even funnier is he has called me an "attack bot" even though a link to my personal website is on Slashdot.

BTW, I mentioned our resident troll to the webmaster at and he concurred twitter was very similar in posting to his resident troll. This troll he mentioned posted under the pseudonyms Bill Groupe, emanymton, Nick, Big Daddy, and possibly others. Go over to and and do a search for emanymton. The only thing I could see missing is the "creative spelling" for Microsoft. []

For Twitter: Here is the URL to my website if you had trouble finding it, []

Another interesting URL if you didn't believe me the first time Twitter: []

I don't think that's him. There are only so many hours in the day to troll websites, and I know this guy has a family and a job (well, maybe not a job right now).

I looked through those posts and he's missing a key thing: misspellings. twitter has a very unique pattern of misspelled words. That person doesn't exhibit those at all. And that's the one thing that's incredibly difficult for him to fake.

BTW, twitter seems to be losing it lately. Big time. I'd advise giving him as little personal information as possible. In his state of mind, anyone who disagrees with him "hates" free software and works for "M$", so I wouldn't put it past him (not for a second) to start sending emails to your boss, co-workers, etc. Don't even go there.

Bwahahah (1)

What a goddamn clusterfuck. This moron was bad enough 8 years ago, but now he has *14* accounts? What the hell. But all of them are posting at -1! Bwahahahahah!!! The term Schadenfreude doesn't begin to do justice to that.

Keep up the good work. I wish I had more time to help out, but life and work keep interrupting.

Hey, long time no post :)

What a goddamn clusterfuck.

Amazing isn't it? Especially considering this website is close to being the most important thing in the world to him.

I wish I had more time to help out, but life and work keep interrupting.

Me too, but lately it's only on weekends (if at all) and soon probably not even that.

Hmmm. Maybe a separate account could be created and use the journal on it. As long as it's not used for posting so it doesn't look like you're pulling the same bullshit as him.

Then you can hand over the account to anyone who might be willing to just update it, though I doubt you're going to get someone who will actually do all the stuff you do. But as long as the proof is there. And it's not like the journal needs updating every day, or every week even. Once a month (if that) should be enough.

Then anyone who is interested in hunting socks for fun or profit can simply point to that page. Put it in their sigs even. I've seen a ton of posts linking to yours in the past 24 hours.

Hell, I'll volunteer to run with it for a few months. Maybe Mactrope or dedazo or someone else can be next, or maybe later you'll have more time and you can take it over. I still read Slashdot every few days, but mostly through RSS. Posting with any amount of frequency is probably out of the question. So no promises beyond that.

Let's just not take all this very seriously plz =)

Anybody else interested?

Create another account? Why?

Re:Bwahahah (1)

The Bungi (221687) | more than 5 years ago | (#25269273)

Well... do you want to give someone else control of "willyhill" or what? All you'd have to do is copy the markup from the monologues JE and paste it into a JE created with the new account.

Whether or not you post later, you can do so with your own account, and update the journal on the other one.

Re:Bwahahah (1)

willyhill (965620) | more than 5 years ago | (#25269327)

That's obviously what this account was created for. So why not?

Check your email please =)

You forgot something (1)

dedazo (737510) | more than 5 years ago | (#25274567)

After that bizarre thread on Saturday, every single one of his accounts is posting at -1. The "right handed" one was the only one still posting at 0 as of last week, I'm pretty sure the additional negative moderation brought him down to -1.

(I'm sure this will be used to prove that I have secret powers over the Slashdot mod process)

Sorry I missed that thread... it would have been awesome to see him post with all 14 accounts. Maybe next time. He sure seems like he's stopped giving a fuck, judging by the one you replied to last night.
