Last week in Brazil, Sweaty B made a dark prediction for his company, "We're not going to have products that are much more successful than Vista has been." The article's author takes him to task for implying Vista's a success but I'll take his word for it that warmed over Vista sold as Windows 7 will be an even bigger dud. What else should you expect from a company that

Last week in Brazil, Sweaty B made a dark prediction for his company, "We're not going to have products that are much more successful than Vista has been." The article's author takes him to task for implying Vista's a success but I'll take his word for it that warmed over Vista sold as Windows 7 will be an even bigger dud. What else should you expect from a company that says it's all about advertising? As the Information week author puts it,

If he did buy any of that in the last 10 years, he'd be pretty sore. They've treated their investors about as well as they treated their customers. M$ never paid a dividend until their price collapsed and they ran out of growth space a long time ago. Eight years ago, the price flatlined at a little below the 1999 price and regularly flirted with the 1998 price before the latest global meltdown started.

But hey, Microsoft has good tax dodges [slashdot.org] .

If they ever do have to pay their fair share of taxes, I wonder what that would do to their profits and share price.
