Justification: TOO MANY SUBMISSIONS HAVE SLANTED/JINGOISTIC/ANTAGONISTIC/WANNABE-JOURNALIST opinions about a story, or are thinly-veiled attempts to incite readers to jump on a story.
The moderation system (Score:1)
The moderation system has faults, but I still feel that it is what sets Slashdot apart from other sites like Digg, which has a more democratic moderation system, and ZDNet and blogs, which have no moderation to speak of. Somehow the conversations on Slashdot are raised a very few inches above the sewer run-off of the Internet at large (though not if you browse at -1 like I do).
I would prefer that the moderation have a "reason" text field of a hundred characters or so which would be viewable on meta-moderati
