To anyone taking seriously the fears about a public option, allow me to sum up the argument:
Government is slow, bureaucratic, inefficient, and always inferior to the private sector. Except when it isn't, in which case it is unfair competition.
Heh. Reminds me of all the ISPs suing municipalities.
Health Insurance doesn't even do that much (Score:2)
Oh look, 62% of all personal bankruptcies in the U.S. in 2007 were caused by health problems -- and 78% of those filers had insurance [businessweek.com].
I continue to stand by the position I've held for years: health insurance, whether private or government, is the blight ruining the market.
