Journal moronikos's Journal: Why I hate Opera 2

I can handle opera the form of musical expression ok at times, but I really cannot stand Opera the browser at all. I have tried to like it and have installed practically every new version on my PC only to uninstall it shortly after. My problem with Opera is that it does a real poor job of detecting when web pages have changed and showing the updated page. During yesterday's Woot Off, this problem manifested itself clearly when I went back to the Woot page later in the day and it appeared they were selling the same thing. When I refreshed the page, something else was being sold--then I remembered Opera's damn problem in detecting changed content. Oh, I am sure there is some setting to make this work, but it should work correctly out of the box--i.e. after a clean install. I first encountered Opera's problem on message boards like EZBoard/Yuku where I would go back to a page later in the day and it would look like the forum was dead. I would then refresh the page and instantly all these new posts would inevitably show up. Every other browser (Firefox, Chrome, IE, Safari) gets this right except for Opera. Looks like I will be uninstalling Opera yet again.
