Journal cybernanga's Journal: Finding Complementary Business Partners.

I have an idea for a website http://www.buy-proxy.com/ which I naturally think could be successful if promoted well. I've built the site and had it running for a while. It has attracted some interest, and everyone that I've asked has all given me good feedback and they appear enthusiastic. Sadly, I am unable to attract reasonable amounts of traffic/members, due to the fact that I suck at marketing/promotion/sales, either on or offline.

I'd be interested to hear the views of the Slashdot community, but my real problem is deeper.

I really need a business partner who has online marketing skills, but I have no idea where to find people who may be interested. My day job is in a completely non-tech field, so I have no way to make the needed connections through work or social circles.

In these days of recession and lay-offs, there must be at least a few individuals who have marketing/promotion skills, but no product to promote.

Where and how would I find such people, and would any of them be interested in working in return for a share of the business, as I currently have a zero budget. A tall order I know, but any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
