No more suffering

She's gone. Peacefully, in her sleep, she left. She's beyond all pain and suffering, regardless of exactly what state of existence her energy might find itself in.

I know streams of bits from uncertain persons across a network cannot offer real solace - but I offer it to you. My sympathies and sadness for your loss.

Someday, the sun will rise again. Try not to forget that, in the midst of difficulty.

I leave you with this... I turn to it often - can't say that it helps:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2RtUv_PgGA [youtube.com]

Me and my friend were walking
In the cold light of morning
Tears may blind the eyes
But the soul is not deceived
In this world even winter ain't what it seems

Here come the blue skies
Here comes springtime
When the rivers run high
And the tears run dry
When everything that dies
Shall rise

Love, Love,
Love is stronger than death
Love, Love,
Love is stronger than death

In our lives we hunger
For those we cannot touch
All the thoughts unuttered
And all the feelings unexpressed
Play upon our hearts
Like the mist upon our breath
But, awoken by grief, our spirits speak:

"How could you believe
That the life within the seed
that grew arms that reached
And a heart that beat
And lips that smiled
And eyes that cried
Could ever die?"

Here come the blue skies
Here comes springtime
When the rivers run high
And the tears run dry
When everything that dies
Shall rise

Love, Love
Love is stronger than death
Love, Love
Love is stronger than death

Shall rise, Shall rise
Shall rise, Shall rise

Random bits from uncertain persons offer solace just fine, thank you: Depending on beliefs, we are just random bits of DNA with delusions of existence, life and consciousness. Thank you again.

This sums up my sentiments nearly perfectly. You have my thoughts and well-wishes.

I'm sorry for your loss, even though it also marks an end of her suffering.

Words aren't enough, in and of themselves, but so many of us take for granted that words - random vibrations floated on air, represented by squiggles on paper or patterns of bits - are vehicles for concepts, thoughts, feelings, all of which are most helpful and appreciated.
Thank you.

I am also glad for her relief. My mom went through much the same. :-(

Thank you. Sorry for your loss of your mom as well. One would think, with all of the brain power and money thrown at this set of diseases that we'd be closer to an outright cure by now. Maybe that'll be her legacy, it'll be her body (donated) that will give them the missing clue.

And I hope very much for a cure. It takes too many people too young.

I am glad that you had the time that you did, and I know that she felt your love along the way.

Take care... (1)

I am so sorry for your loss. I know she is in a better place and her suffering is over, and that there is some solace in that. But I can only imagine the hole in your heart. I know that counseling has helped me with my own separation, and would highly recommend it for your grief.

Hang in there, I will keep you in my thoughts, and I'll raise a glass of the good stuff in her honor.

Thank you. Quick question, given the entire "De Gustibus..." thing, what do *you* consider "the good stuff"? I have all this free time, and Portland is only ~3 hrs...

To me "The Good Stuff" is single malt. I raised some some Bunnahabhain [whisky.com] in her memory last night, and said a few words in her honor as well. Granted I was alone, but I still think it matters. If you want to come down this weekend I would certainly make some time for you. Saturday afternoon perhaps?

Single malt, yea, verily, yummy - how old?
Thank you - not Saturday, nor next, as I have plans - how does Sun work for you?

Sunday works! Shoot me an email and we can work the details...

The Bunnahabhain is a 12 :-)
