Given the huge number of those with names like "medicaltreatment" and "pureacaiberries", I'm not sure what exactly is going on there. I'm thinking some kind of ineffectual retaliation for not publishing their spam (note the slashdot badge on his posts)

That or he's cheesing the system to have all the spammers foe him (so he can treat them as freaks) since we're limited to only 100 foes each.

He has quite a few fans as well; more fans than freaks. I can see why he's foed so many people though, when he posts stories (he's a /. admin) he gets a whole lot of flak that I'm sure he's sick of seeing.

... who foes all the journal spammers. If you read though his old journal entries you might find that; I am too lazy to do that for you right now.

More unfortunate, however, is that Timothy is generally fond of the "no foes and no friends foes" option when he posts his own journal entries. And since he has his royal pudginess as a friend, the result is that many free thinking people are not allowed to post in Timothy's journals since we have all been subjected to eternal banishment to the non-conservativ [slashdot.org]
