Despite being canceled by Comedy Central, BattleBots is looking towards the future with the release of Technical Regulations, Builders Guide, and Request Forms v3.0 for comment by current and future designers in their forums. They are also working with the Robot Fighting Leauge maximize rule set compatibility between future BattleBots and RFL events. So when can we see something besides BattleBots reruns? They're talking to potential tour promoters, corporate sponsors and TV companies on future BattleBots tournaments, including plans for a BattleBots Summer Tour; hopefully they can find someone to televise the tour.
