Journal masterwit's Journal: Misinformation and other liberty buzzwords

Yes I am coming on here complaining, its what I do best. My latest beef is really a hopeless cause as nothing I do will change this:
Everyone seems to hate buzzwords, you know those empty shelled words that represent a concept that isn't quite an idea, well I am tired of political buzzwords, or even the use of the word liberty as an empty shell for something every American** needs, or as a substitute for "freedom".
Here I will attempt to explain at least my take on why they cannot and should not be interchanged:
Liberty implies a "set of rules", a "system or safeguard", and the remarkable feature of "restraint". Freedom on the other hand is a word used in context to describe how slavery does not exist, or how I am free from having to choose 2% milk, etc. Liberty can guard to protect various freedom s , but is not a single freedom to do X itself. Now don't get me wrong, I am no political scientist, but I know us Slashdot-ers hate what is coined as buzzwords, or nonsense talk. Instead of referring to "liberty", "freedom", "personal rights", let us learn to talk specifics.
Every time I see a title "Obama calls for..." and someone says something like "human rights" without specifics, I die a little bit inside - and no it is not because of my political standing.
