in amongst the millions of users of slashdot there are probably a huge array of types of usage. There are those see it as a community, recognise friends and foes. A variant are those who live to be trolls. Then there are those who lurk in wait of a truly techie compiler optimisations thread then wade into the battle to be ubergeek with snippets of code that act as a counterexample to the claims of someother obsessive. There are those who surf every now and again to check the headlines but rar
