in amongst the millions of users of slashdot there are probably a huge array of types of usage. There are those see it as a community, recognise friends and foes. A variant are those who live to be trolls. Then there are those who lurk in wait of a truly techie compiler optimisations thread then wade into the battle to be ubergeek with snippets of code that act as a counterexample to the claims of someother obsessive. There are those who surf every now and again to check the headlines but rarely read comments. Or even who came here once and never came back. And somewhere in the middle are the rest of us.
