Blacklaw's Journal: AMD just doesn't get it

I genuinely can't understand why AMD would post such drivel to its mail website. I mean, it's *supposed* to be funny - but it treats geeks as if they can't get a date, and women as if they're technically incompetent.
What about Admiral Hopper? Lady Ada? Sophie Wilson? All women, and all pioneers in the field of computing. Without Lady Ada's work, modern computing may never have happened. Admiral Hopper was one of the first paid programmers - and credited with the invention of the word 'bug' in the context of computer flaw. Sophie Wilson developed the ARM architecture, now by far the most popular chip on the market.
I don't know if it's made better or worse by the fact that the post was written by a woman...
