It's Time for Democrats, Liberals, and Other non-Republicans to Buy Guns

So there you are, liberaling away, maybe doing a little protest over Wisconsin's Koch-sponsored Governor's attempt to impoverish state employees. And then an assistant attorney general in Indianapolis advocates using live rounds on people like you. Folks, it's time to buy guns -- and to get good at using them, too.

Good Advice... (1)

Especially coming from a man who's UID is 357!

Well, I agree with you (2)

But, in general, I've felt that they always should've.

The LAST thing anyone needs is more deranged lefties like Loughner or the Discovery Channel Shooter getting guns. After all, the Left has a long and storied history of quickly becoming unhinged and violent, even assaulting women: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zm_Fl3AszuU [youtube.com]

Is this really what you're advocating?

What's with the reruns? (1)

damn_registrars (1103043) | more than 3 years ago | (#35306322)

Come on friend, your most recent joke was hypocrisy as well. You can find some other way to make conservatives look silly if you try just a little harder...

Re:What's with the reruns? (-1, Flamebait)

you creepy

You are entitled to call whatever you want creepy, I guess.

gay

I am not gay. Why you would think otherwise I'm not sure - perhaps it is part of your act; since closeted homosexuals are common amongst conservative bigots?

obsessed

Obsessed with what exactly? This allegation is puzzling but not out of character I guess...

stalker

That makes no sense. I was writing here continuously while you were gone. Had you opted not to bring back your act, you would have never heard anything else from me. On top of that, I write in plenty of other discussions here on slashdot that have nothing to do with you.

troll

There you go, trying to make me laugh again...

Wait a second ... I see what you're going for now. You read my journal entry from Tuesday [slashdot.org] and thought you'd try your hand at some good ol' conservative revisionist English, didn't you?

I'm honored that I was able to inspire your latest joke this time! I admit, you almost far enough into character that you may have been able to fool someone; but not me. I know you too well! Now maybe after this you can follow up with a piece on how much you hate that damned dirty hippie Noah Webster. After all, he wrote about harmonious coexistence and other terrible ideas like that.

Wow, a rerun comment in response to a comment about a rerun joke. You're pulling out all the stops for your act this time!

damn_registrars (1103043) | more than 3 years ago | (#35323508)

Yeah, we get it. You're using a rearrangement of a rerun of revisionist English. And the joke itself is a rerun. Come on, you can write better jokes than that; there's plenty of material out there for you today. Why don't you tell us about how GWB is an awesome and inspiring patriot by his choice to not show up to a conference where that awful liberal commie scumbag Assange was invited? You could even overlook the fact that Assange would have almost certainly been arrested had he come here as a feeder for your joke...

Wrong moderations applied! (1)

damn_registrars (1103043) | more than 3 years ago | (#35307792)

To whomever accidentally selected "flamebait" for my friend's posts here - you should probably come back and post here to undo those moderations. I'm sure you, like the rest of us, know that my friend is just an act - and hence you should have opted instead for "funny".

Wrong moderations like that only end up discouraging my friend from continuing his act, which would be a big loss for slashdot. So please, whomever did those moderations, come back and post here to undo them. You can't change them to the "funny" moderation that you certainly meant to select, but you can at least reverse them.

Logical disconnect (1)

Ruke (857276) | more than 3 years ago | (#35305764)

I'm not sure what the point you're trying to make here is. Are you saying that if the protesters were armed that the police chief would have instructed deputies to use non-lethal force on them instead? The only thing that armed protesters would accomplish in this situation would be to justify the use of deadly force against them, in the case that things got out of hand.

Your title carries the invalid assumption that there is a difference between a republican and a democrat. While in some local jurisdictions that may be true, we all know thanks to President Lawnchair that at the federal government the two-party system is (at best) a ruse. Everyone working as a politician in DC today is a conservative - every last stinking one of them. If there was a single non-conservative left we would have never seen the giant health insurance bailout passed into law, and we might have been smart enough to not have invaded Iraq based on powerpoint presentations loaded with conjecture and outright lies.

Way out of line (2)

Stargoat (658863) | more than 3 years ago | (#35306484)

You are way out of line. How can you sleep at night? I am shocked. Shocked and disappointed in you.

The shotgun is the best Republican defense weapon on the market. Assuming you are using heavy bird shot (and go with birdshot B at least), the penetration through drywall is no where near as forceful as a slug. [boxoftruth.com] If angry Republicans make it into your house, it is tough to beat a 12 gauge for self-defense.

Furthermore, the .22 is no caliber for anything other than practice. Yes, it is affordable. But its rimfire design makes it inherently unreliable in comparison to a centerfire round. Worse, the .22 is simply not capable of creating the necessary hydrostatic shock for dealing with today's GOP terrorist menace.

If purchasing a rifle for Republican security, just buy a rifle. Don't mess around with a crazy pistol carbine. The new model Ruger Mini-14 are much more accurate than the old model with the thin barrel. They are more reliable than the foolishly designed AR models and the M-4 upgrades. The US Armed forced are even going back to the old garand action by reintroducing the M-14 rifle. And yes, the typical patriot would be better off with a 7.62 NATO than the 5.56 NATO.

In short, when dealing with Republicans, bigger tends to be better. The pistol caliber (and get a .357 revolver with a 6" barrel or a .40 S&W automatic or bigger) is useful only to get you to your longarm, be it the trusty shotgun or the patriot's rifle.

Your Errors (1)

pudge (3605) | more than 3 years ago | (#35308020)

  • Stopping power matters, but you're right that it's harder to shoot and costs more; I personally love the .22, but I also love the .45.
  • Richies, as a class of voters, do not exist. They just don't. And while some rich voters want to save some money on taxes, for the VAST majority of voters who swung right, it's all about government power and control. This union crap isn't about killing unions, it's about the fact that make it harder for us to manage our government, instead of our government managing us. Simply put, there is no "right" to force an employer to bargain on your terms: an employer, whether private or public, has the right to choose to NOT collectively bargain as much as the workers have a right to attempt to collectively bargain. It's amazing to me that anyone would invent a "right" to it, and, worse, it's amazing to me (though it shouldn't be) that people are so selfish that willfully blind themselves to how much we simply cannot afford the union demands anymore ... and it's collective bargaining that put us there. (Yes, in theory, with collective bargaining people could still not put us in such situations, but the problem is that it WILL happen, because people suck, and when it does happen it's hard to reverse. So, been there, tried that, done. Sorry. Have a nice day.)
  • Oh please, get real: it is ALWAYS the left that is fostering class warfare. And you're doing it here, as you often do.
  • You forgot the Democrat in MA who actually advocated violence the other day, rather than the former Deputy AG who was clearly joking.

Can you say all that shit with a big, deep, booming radio announcer voice? You know, since you're already reciting their scripts, I figured, what the hell, see if somebody will pay you, like they do with that guy.. what's his name? See, for me, it's kinda like football, it's just not so exciting unless I got some money in it. Pickin' up what I'm putin' down my brotha?

Re:Your Errors (1)

pudge (3605) | more than 3 years ago | (#35309688)

No. I mean, I understand that you're just spouting gibberish for the hell of it, if that's what you mean.

Re:Your Errors (1)

iamtheantipudge (1091487) | more than 3 years ago | (#35309792)

Ah.. but you are just spouting somebody else's gibberish, which just happen to be untrue, as per your usual form.. Now either you should be paying royalties to FOX, or getting paid for your performance.. but do try to polish it up a bit. You're not quite ready for prime time yet.

People should be buying mass quantities of potatoes and bananas.

Look man, I ain't fallin' for no banana in my tailpipe!

I agree. Kevlar might stop a .22, but a spud to the chest is going to take down anyone, and leave them there.
